College Hill Expands Life Sciences Communications Team

London, Congleton, Munich, 9th September 2008 College Hill (previously Northbank Communications) has recently appointed four new members, Gurminder Marwaha, Cosima Zerdik, Dr Jo Bowler and Paul Jackson, to its Life Sciences Team.

Gurminder Marwaha has joined as Senior Account Manager. Formerly the editor of a portfolio of international print and digital pharmaceutical and healthcare publications, including Pharmaceutical Technology Europe, Gurminder was recently part of the life science PR team at Gyro International. He also gained experience in broadcast journalism working at the BBC, covering topics from science and social issues, to sports, politics and finance for TV and radio. He has a BSc in Applied Chemistry and an MSc in Chemical Research from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine in London (UK).

As Junior Account Manager Cosima joins from specialist healthcare communications agency hsdcommunications, now part of Gyro International. Previously, she worked at Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson Medical in Austria in different product marketing roles in cardiovascular, neuroscience and ophthalmic areas. Cosima has a MA in International Commerce from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, and is currently pursuing her PhD in Business History on the development of Venture Capital. She is a native German speaker and fluent in English and French.

Joining as Account Executive and Technical Writer, Dr Jo Bowler brings experience in life science research and communications previously working as Learning and Programmes Communicator in the At-Bristol science centre where she focused on public science communication across the biological and physical sciences. Jo has a degree in zoology and a PhD in biomechanics and muscle physiology.

Paul Jackson has joined as a Web Developer. Paul has four years commercial development experience working on digital projects across design, retail and finance sectors. He has a first class honours degree in English from Manchester Metropolitan University.
