Tecan, a leading player in the fast growing Life Sciences supply
industry, specialises in the development, production and distribution
of enabling solutions for the discovery of pharmaceutical substances,
as well as for genomics, proteomics, and diagnostics.
Northbank won a four way competitive pitch for the creative work
over a two year period after presenting several concepts that showed
a natural move away from the current campaign.
The brief was to create a concept that built upon the previous
campaign but removed the imagery of people that was a constant
focus in the adverts. The campaign also had to be unique to the
Company and sell the real benefits their products bring to the
user.
The chosen
concept is based on a comparison theme where the advantages and
benefits
of using a Tecan product are instantly recognisable.
The simplicity and relevance of imagery coupled with the style
and execution of photography is relevant to each product. The overall
feel for the adverts is clean, modern and of the highest quality,
this look reflects Tecan’s corporate style and the Swiss
nature of the Company. The adverts now stand out from the competition
and help build Tecan as a distinctive, innovative brand.
After starting the creative we were also asked to manage the production
and global media buying for the campaign. We have also won the
trade PR account and other marketing projects including the newsletter. January 2004
