College Hill

International PR around licensing deal with Roche

College Hill has worked with BioInvent on their corporate PR for the last 3 years. With an in depth knowledge of the company and its development, College Hill has been able to gradually build up awareness of BioInvent's growing pipeline of products, securing features and a speaker slot at a conference.

College Hill had been involved with announcing developments around one of BioInvent's key programmes involving an anti-PlGF antibody, a product being developed in collaboration with ThromboGenics of Belgium. From the product's entry into Phase I and an accompanying research paper published in Cell, awareness of the programme was rising and eventually attracted the interest of Roche for a partnership deal.

Objectives

  • To secure international coverage of the deal and position BioInvent as a maturing biotech company with its own pipeline
  • Attract pharmaceutical partners who wish to benefit from BioInvent's expertise in antibodies and from commercialising an antibody against an exciting target

Our Approach

  • College Hill assisted with maintaining awareness and interest in the programme through drafting and distribution of an announcement for the results of Phase I for the programme, just over two weeks before the announcement of the deal with Roche
  • College Hill devised a media outreach plan, coordinating efforts with all parties involved to set up a priority interview with BioCentury and perform media outreach to pan-European business and trade press
  • The Roche deal also coincided with the BIO convention in San Diego, which BioInvent representatives were also attending along with many international journalists. College Hill organised for prints of the announcement to be placed in the press room and organised media interviews with Company representatives in San Diego

Results

Coordinating efforts with all parties involved in media outreach on both sides of the Atlantic, College Hill was able to secure coverage in Reuters, Bloomberg and Dow Jones, WSJE, PharmaTV, BioCentury, BioWorld, GEN, In Vivo, Pharma Marketletter, Fierce Biotech, APM Health Europe, SCRIP and GEN.
