Molecular Devices
is a world leader in innovative analytical technologies that help
scientists create better ways to analyse cells and biomolecules.
Since 1995, the company has targeted Europe as a growth opportunity
and commissioned STMP (now College Hill Life Sciences) to help develop
and manage its European sales strategy.
As part of Molecular
Devices’ product marketing campaign we edited US originated
press releases and distributed them to the European media, following
up to maximise coverage. We’ve also written and placed several
technical articles to promote the company’s products and services
support. Our regular PR activities have generated numerous sales
leads for the company.
We designed
and created Molecular Devices’ first global website in 1996,
quite a complex site that on completion, we passed back to the company
to maintain
To generate
leads we managed a very active direct marketing campaign for Molecular
Devices’ direct sales team and distributors throughout Europe
and beyond. We created, designed and wrote the mailers (including
local language and distributor versions) specifically to generate
sales leads; sourced mailing lists and distributed mailers throughout
Europe on a planned, regular basis. We developed and managed the
company’s lead management database and undertook their lead
fulfilment to ensure rapid and effective response to all sales leads.
This direct mail campaign was supported by the MDL newsletter, which
we designed, copywrote, produced and distributed to the company’s
European database.
As part of the
integrated European campaign we created and managed Molecular Devices’
European media schedule to supplement the company’s global
schedule run from the US HQ. This included creating ads (including
local language versions) to ensure effective product marketing communications
across Europe and regular flow of quality leads to the sales team.
